Una CatherineWHELANPeacefully passed away on Friday 11th October 2024, at Ty Bryngwyn Hospice, Una of The Kilkenny Cat, West End, Llanelli.

Beloved wife of Steve, devoted mother of Amy and Criana, cherished nana of Ariana, Lucia and Redvers and a much loved sister.

Una will be sadly missed by all her loving family and many friends.

Funeral Wednesday 6th November 2024, friends please meet for service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church Llanelli, 10.00 a.m. followed by interment at Llanelli District Cemetery 11.15 a.m.

Family flowers only please, but Donations if desired in Una's memory for The Chemotherapy Unit Prince Philip Hospital, may be sent directly to Hywel Dda Health Charities, Hafan Derwen, St David's Park, Jobswell Road, Carmarthen, SA31 3BB. Please quote Chemotherapy Unit Prince Philip Hospital on the back of your cheque.

Una, you were a rock and lovely friend to my mum, Ann, who worked in the Kilkenny Kat with you before she herself was taken ill with cancer. It's hard to believe but it has been 23 years since she has passed away. You wrote a wonderful tribute about her at the time saying how kind and lovely she was and I have never forgotten it. She thought the world of you. You were both Irish and very much in tune with each other because of the connection. You too embodied kindness itself coupled with a sunny smile and sense of humour. You were so strong, caring and compassionate. You touched the hearts of 3 generations of my family. You will be very much missed by everyone that knew you. Rest in Peace with love from Sue, Claire and family xxx
