Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones after a sudden illness.
He was a formidable man, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
The funeral service will take place at St Mary's Church, Thirsk on Friday 6th October at 12pm.
The family request those in attendance come as themselves and remember it is a celebration of life.
Family flowers only please.
