Samuel HoraceWHITEHOUSEIt is with great sadness that the family announce that Sam passed away unexpectedly on the 10th January 2020 at Good Hope Hospital with his wife Jean holding his hand. Sam had suffered many health problems since 1985 borne bravely with a smile on his face. He was 90 years old. Sam was a beloved and loving husband to Jean for just over 50 years. He was a loving and loved Dad to Clive Medlicott and Clive's wife Gabriela. He was a very proud and loving and much loved grandad to Laurentiu, all who now live in Canada. Sam was brother to Violet and Henry and the late William and Rose. He was a loving uncle and great uncle to nieces and nephews on both his own and Jean's family. Funeral at Birmingham Perry Barr Crematorium on Monday 10th February at 10.30am. Family flowers only. Donations to British Heart Foundation will be appreciated.

No words can adequately describe one's feelings at the passing of a loved one, so I will not try to verbalize. Instead, I was remembering the fun times we three kids had when we came to visit in the summer. Riding in the side-car of the motor bike, going swimming at the Lido and going on picnics with you and Henry. Oh, and let's not forget our trips up the canals on the boat.

You will be missed, Uncle Sam. We love you. xox
