Leslie FrederickWHITEWAYPassed away at Bristol Heart Institute on March 23rd 2022, aged 91 years. Beloved Husband of Mary, much loved Dad of Simon, Laura and Nigel and father in law of Janet, treasured Grandad of Cara and Nick and Great Grandad of Freddie and Marlowe. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at South Bristol Crematorium on Wednesday, April 13th at 3.45 pm. Family flowers only, donations if desired for The Royal British Legion, Whitchurch are being accepted in memory of Leslie by Michael W Rowe Funeral Directors, 2, The Vinery, Harford Square, Chew Magna. My Uncle, the late Richard Banfield, of Keynsham, used to visit my Mum when I was very young, courtesy of a friend called Les Whiteway who'd give him a lift to South Wales on his motorbike. I think it's the same Les Whiteway, here shown in 1956 with 18-month old me ont he bike:
