Funeral service to take place at St Mary's Church, The Lace Market, Nottingham on Monday 15th July 2019 at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation. All of Brian's friends and customers will have been devastated by news of his passing. He was always so friendly, and so much fun to be around. I have been coming to Topknot for 25 years, as much for the chats as for a haircut. He and Sue always brightened one's day. In the words of Cardinal Newman, "Go forth upon thy journey, Christian soul". Requiescat in pace.

Started working at Topknot at 15 when Brian first started, I worked there from 1971 to 1984, he was as much a friend as a boss and he was always very supportive with my career, sending me on various courses in London including Vidal Sassoon, Tony and Guy. All these years later I'm now 63 I'm still hairdressing, although we lost touch when I left to bring up my 2 boys he will always have a special place in my memories, all those happy times spent with my life long friends there, Josy, Gill, and, Debbie, thanks Brian for all those happy times, you will be sadly missed by us all.
