JohnWHITTAKEROf Cherry Crescent, Rawtenstall, passed away on December 12, aged 79 years. John was a weaver at Longholme Weaves Shed, David Whiteheads and Birtwistles, Haslingden, working in the cotton industry all his life. He enjoyed walking, John Wayne Western films, James Bond dvds, collecting stamps, coins and paintings. Husband to the late Christine, John leaves behind his daughter Pamela, son-in-law Adrian, grandson Daniel and brother Alan.

A small service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Friday, December 29 at 1pm, followed by a service and cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 1.45pm, conducted by Kathy Unsworth.
