Julian was not only a brilliant consultant but a friend and the nicest guy I'd ever met. Shared many laughs with him as a patient over the last 5 years. Cricket his passing has left a huge void.

Heard the dreadful news last week. Shared a room with Jules on South African tours, so many great memories of one of the nicest people in rugby. His expertise, gentle humour and constant warmth will be very hard to replace. So grateful to have known him. Heartfelt condolences to Celia and all the family. Such sad news of Julian. Worked with Julian when he was a junior Dr in Bath ED and remember what a great member of the team he was and the lovely cakes his dear wife use to bake for the night staff. Hours of fun and laughter at the ED Christmas events. I’m sure he was one of the main culprits in the food fights!! RIP, you will be fondly remembered by the ED team of that time😢😢🌺
