John BryceWILCOXIt is with great sadness that the family of John Wilcox announce his passing on Saturday 10th June 2023, aged 75 years. John passed away peacefully at home in Barrow on Trent, with his wife Hazel and his children Joanna, Laura and James by his side. As a kind, funny and loyal man, he will always be lovingly remembered with huge affection by his family and friends. All that knew John are very welcome to join the family in celebrating his life at the funeral service which will take place at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent, DE72 2AF on Tuesday 4th July 2023 at 1.30pm. Please wear colours rather than black in celebration of John’s life. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired are invited for Cancer Research UK. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or may be given at the service. John was a true gentleman. He had a great sense of humour, and he will be sadly missed. He absolutely loved his sport, and we had some great conversations on the subject. Derby County for one will certainly miss his ticket money. Not so much Derbyshire County Cricket Club though where whenever I saw him there he appeared to be enjoying being corporately entertained!
