I've only just learnt of Dave's passing. He was a good friend of my dad, Tony Heath & I've known him on & off, all of my life really; I last saw him a couple years after my parents both passed away in early 2016 & he was still a force of nature. I'm sure I got my love of walking / climbing mountains from him as he carried me on his back all the way down the Llanberis path from the top of Snowden when I was very young. He used to give me all sorts of rocks & mementoes from his travels abroad to feed my imagination & I can hear his voice now as he swapped tales about Rolls Royce with my dad from when they worked together at the start of their careers. Thank you Dave for enriching my life. RIP.
