So sad to know you’re gone Steve. I know your closest of friends will of taken good care of you. You deserved so much more than this life gave you, your perseverance, stamina and dedication has helped many and your smile touched many many more, not only were you Batman, you were also always so proudly yourself! I shall never forget you. You were there at times no one else was and I will always keep your confidences as you did mine. Such an intelligent man, with a kindness you often kept hidden.
Sleep peacefully Steve.
Till we meet again
You’ll never be forgotten
Helen

Hundreds of pictures and videos and hundreds more to come.

Goodbye Steve, I liked you, cared about you and saw your pain. I miss you and I'm devastated you're not here but I know you're watching and I know you're in a better place.

I will do everything I can to keep your memory alive, and as probably one of only 3 or 4 people who really knew you I will tell the truth about everything and you know I would not let anybody say a bad word without being in possession of the real facts.

I have collected messages from all over the UK from people who you helped. And I have a voice recording from my family and others you helped, saying thank you and about the things we were able to do for autistic people for generations to come because of your real hard work all over the country with me.

I have messages from Armed Forces veterans too. Of thanks. To you, Batman Steve. Our phone line is still going strong and many lives will continue to be saved because of it.

You were my friend and I miss you.
Wes
