LeslieWILLIAMSIt is with great sadness that we announce Leslie (Les) Allan Williams passed away peacefully on the evening of the 11th August 2024, aged 90 years.

A devoted husband to his late wife, Alice. Survived by his much-loved brother, Eric. A beloved father to Nigel and Gareth. A proud grandfather of Jake, James, Ethan and Jack.

Many thanks to the staff and residents of Cherry Tree House for their care and friendship in his final months.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends, family and neighbours, all of whom are warmly invited to attend a celebration of his life at Woodlands Crematorium, at 12 noon, on Monday 2nd September, and afterwards join us for drinks and refreshments at the Iron Forge public house on Burringham Road.

Family flowers only please.

A wonderful and lovely man who was central in our extended family, always kind and calm, with easy-going good humour. A true gentleman. We're so sorry to have lost him.

May I send my condolences to the family, friends and former Refereeing colleagues. Met Les through his reffing in the late 1960's. Was a nice person and always fair in his decision making. Local football benefitted from the likes of Les Williams. RIP Les.
