5th July 2026, of Talwrn, formerly of Llandudno Junction, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family in Ysbyty Gwynedd, aged 78 years. Beloved husband of Sandra. Loving father of Nerys and father-in-law to Matthew. Proud grandfather of Clara and Griff. Dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a good friend to many. Eryl will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Public service and committal at Bangor Crematorium on Tuesday, 28th July 2026 at 2.30pm. Family flowers only but donations will be gratefully accepted in memory of Eryl towards RNLI Moelfre and North West Cancer Research, please make cheques payable to 'R & J Hughes and Son Ltd' or via our website www.rjhughesandson.co.uk.

Sandra, Nerys, Matthew, Clara, Griff and all of Eryl’s friends and family far and wide, Nicole and I offer our sincerest condolences to all of you. I’m sorry we cannot be there in person on Tuesday, but we will be with you in heart and mind. Eryl’s friendship is to this day one of the greatest gifts I’ve received. He was a dear friend and mentor. I will miss our Sunday chats, the clever greeting cards and stories, and most of all, his grounding presence. We are so sorry for this significant loss.
