Olwen Elizbeth Wilson (Nee Williams)

Born 15th January 1922 in Roysth Scotland
Second daughter of Harry and May Williams
Younger sister to Eileen and sister to Keith.

Olwen's Mum and Dad both proudly originating from South Wales.
Her Fathers job however working for The Admiralty necessitated several moves during her childhood.
Whilst being born in Scotland, the family also lived in Plymouth and Taffs Well before another call of work found the Williams family moving to Handsworth in Birmingham.

After leaving King Edwards Grammar School, Olwen went on to train as a teacher at The University of Birmingham.

The family moved subsequently to Welwyndale Road Sutton Coldfield. There through her mothers membership of Chester Road Baptist Church, Olwen met Barrie at the local tennis club.

They went on to enjoy sixty seven years glorious years of marriage, three children Fay Geoffrey and Derek, Five very much adored Grandchildren and to date nine beautiful Great Grandchildren.

Olwen was also a much loved 'Auntie Betty' to Brian and Anne and respected Mother in law to Jane and Graham.

Whilst the family was important to Barrie and Olwen they also enjoyed a wide group of friendship through The Rotary Club and Inner Wheel especially for Olwen with The Church playing a big part in her life.

A VERY SPECIAL LADY.
