I worked with Jon at CCYCP back in the mid-2000s. He was committed to the Centre and everyone that used it, he'll be very much missed by the many people that got to know him. I loved working there and with Jon most of all. RIP Jon xxx

Jon will be missed by everyone at the art class. He was always chuffed to bits with his lovely paintings- he was an inspiration to us all.

Im Nick Morgan, Youth worker.
I met Jon when i did a student placement at the Cathays Community Youth Centre, conducting a feasibility study on the possible delivery of what would later become Under Construction Youth Festival.

Jon was one of my most instrumental and inspiring mentors in my career as a youth worker. Ive gone on to create international alliances and projects for youth rights, all of which Jon has a major part to play in.
Jons commitment to social action & youth rights was incredibly and he will be sorely missed.

I share all the love and peace with his family & close friends.
Hope i did you proud Jon
RIP you superstar!

Hello, I’m Marty. I met Jon in about 2002 while at I was a clueless student at uni in Cardiff. He helped me to develop my musical abilities by learning on his drum kit at Cathays Community Centre. He was easily one of the most warm and gentle people I’ve ever met, and the beating heart of an excellent community hub for all the years he was there. I think he’d be pleased to see how fun, friendly and welcoming the place still is today. I’m sure he wouldn’t have it, but I see it as his legacy. Jon, I remember you every time I visit, where I see you in your office with Radio 4 on in the background as you help out another group of youngsters who just know they’re going to be the next big rock band. Thank you for believing in everyone and may you rock out forever. Marty
