Our tribute to Chris on behalf of the Overington family.
Chris along with his wife Sue head up an amazing family, the whole family are gifted particularly in design and creativity.
Chris has been a close friend and brother in Christ to Irene and me, ever since he gave his life to Jesus Christ in our cottage in Jacobstow many years ago.
When Irene and I met up with Chris and Sue in Trelisk Hospital and then in their family home, we felt that eternal connection. The scripture that was our focal point was Daniel 12: 13..But you Daniel go your way for you will stand in your lot (inheritance )at the end of days. As we enlarged on this, Chris focused on its meaning. That he had an inheritance as did the children of Israel when they entered the promised land and that Jesus had prepared him his portion. Irene and I would love to be his neighbours.
At Trelisk, when we asked him how he was doing, he replied "Win-win." he didn't need to say anymore as we knew exactly what he meant. To be with Jesus was a win, to stay here was a win.
At Chris and Sue's home in our final prayer time together, Chris finished the prayer time with, ..the Lord bless you, the Lord keep you..."
This is our prayer to Chris and Sue's family.
"The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace."
Our fondest love to you all. Marcus Irene and family xx

We knew Chris through our son’s marriage to his lovely daughter, Zannah. He was a talented man who showed his creativity through the beautiful homes that he and Sue created together. He loved nature and his garden and was generous in sharing his plants, especially the more exotic ones. It’s good to know that, as a Christian, he is now at peace and safe in God’s hands.
