Ena AnnieWINDLEYIt is with great sadness to announce the death of my mother Ena at Stanfield Nursing home Worcester. Ena wife of the late John Windley and mother to Anne and David, and her much loved granddaughter Sophie.
Ena taught for many years at Matthew Humberstone school Cleethorpes and later in life took an active part in Grimsby and Cleethorpes U3A where she had many friends.
We Will be interning Ena's ashes at 2pm on July 22nd in Grimsby cemetery.
We will be celebrating Ena's life at the Kingsway Hotel from 3.15pm if you like to join us and raise a glass.

I was part of Eva's family for a number of years and, though we would bump into each other from time to time, it is a while since we last did so. I fondly recall the seemingly continuous supply of Primula cheese she and John left for me in their Lindsey Rd fridge and the times we spent together in their garden.

I offer my heartfelt sympathy to Anne as she adjusts.

The saying is you never forget a good teacher. Totally true. A brilliant teacher,who made lessons interesting and fun. Happy memories of lessons at Matthew Humberstone.
