NormanWOLSTENHOLMENorman passed away suddenly on 20th June, at his home in Mandria, Cyprus where he lived very happily since retirement. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Jean, sons Stuart, Stephen and Gareth, Daughter in law Dilys, Grandchildren Bekkileigh, Megan, Kelly, Dominic and Lauren, Sister-in-law Eileen, Step Grandchildren, cousins and many friends in Cyprus and his former hometown of Haslingden and Helmshore. He was a maintenance electrician. After serving his apprenticeship with British Rail he went on to work for WH Goods in Haslingden, Scappa Porritt Blackburn, Armaboard Burnley before retiring from JB Broadley in Rawtenstall. He was also steward at Haslingden Cricket club in the early seventies and was landlord of The Star Inn, Bury in the early eighties. In his younger years he played football for Red Star, Haslingden and was a lifelong Blackburn Rovers fan. He loved his life in Cyprus and recently celebrated his 80th birthday with the family who went over to celebrate with him. He had also recently celebrated his Diamond Wedding Anniversary. His funeral is on Tues 4th July in Mandria, Cyprus. The family plan to organise something in his memory at a later date in England.
