DerekWOODRUPMr Derek Woodrup, of Sandfield Road, Bacup, died on Sunday, June 5. A loving dad, son, uncle, brother and a truly good friend. He was always smiling and making jokes. Derek worked at Taylor & Hargreaves cotton mill, and after being made redundant became a volunteer worker with Maundy Relief, Accrington. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He leaves brother Michael and sister-in-law Carol, sisters Karen and Wendy, nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late James. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, June 23 at 10am at Knight & Boys Chapel of Rest, Stacksteads, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery, service conducted by Kathy Unsworth.
