David, as an Architect and myself as a Civil Engineer have had numerous discussions on related matters from our careers. I met David at Beverley First Probus meetings at Tickton Grange and we were both very involved in the organisation. We had numerous talks at the lunch and coffee meetings but due to my age (93) I have been very restrictive in my outings since the start of the Pandemic and have not been to meetings. I have however, had frequent phone conversations with David and he will be very much missed.

Remembering a kind and thoughtful cousin who worked hard and was always willing to help. We will miss you for your chats, comprehensive emails and ready wit.

I am very sorry to hear of David’s passing. He was always very kind to me and to my mother, his cousin, Pauline Haldane (who sadly died in January this year). Both he and Julia were wonderful people and were kind enough to invite us both to Minorca and later to Beverley. I shall miss David’s dry sense of humour.
