Missing you dearly Dad but I know that I won the jackpot having you and Mum (Joan Woods, dearly departed on 26/02/1999) as my parents. You both loved and cared for me so much, especially when I was a young single mum to Katy and Laura. Without your practical, emotional and financial support I could never have had my career in Nursing or become the person I am. I'm so proud of you Dad for the wisdom, integrity and generosity you shared and the bravery and stoisism you showed in your last few years of illness.

You had asked me after Mum died if you'd been a good husband to her and I always reassured you that you'd been the best. I'm so glad that you had a second chance at love and happiness when you met Gill and the chance to be a husband again. I'll be forever grateful for the joy Gill brought to your life and the love and devotion she showed to you throughout your long illness.

You're in my heart, You're in my soul,
your loving daughter Claire (Apple)
