Linda JaneWOOLLACOTTWe are heartbroken to announce the passing of Linda Jane Woollacott on Thursday 7th August 2025, following a short period of illness. Adored and deeply loved wife of Peter, cherished mother of Tom and Emily, a precious daughter and sister to Sue and Julie, a devoted grandmother to Peter and Benji.

Linda will forever hold a place in our hearts. We will miss her every day as will all her family and friends. Her sharp wit, compassion, generosity and kindness made her a very special person and whilst we mourn her loss, heaven has gained a new angel.

A service in celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Markeaton Crematorium, Main Chapel on Thursday 4th September 2025 at 12.30pm. Traditional attire is not mandatory. Please feel free to wear/add colour that is respectful of the occasion.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired are invited for Ovarian Cancer Action and Ashbourne and District Animal Welfare Society. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or may be given at the service. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Dear Linda, a friend we caught up with seldomly due to moving but it was always like we had spoken only yesterday when we chatted about all the news. Family were everything to her and her pride in them was always evident; about how much she adored her grandsons and it was a joy to talk about us both becoming grandparents. We had met at our own antenatal classes 35 years ago! What fortune that Linda and Peter turned up to that evening class, we have so enjoyed being a part of their lives ever since.
