The times I met Sam he was always welcoming and had a wicked sense of humour, both virtues reflected his big open heart and spirit. He seemed to have his priorities right and lived with purpose. He never spoke to me about his faith, he didn’t have to, he lived and practised it. However, was only at his funeral that I got a sense of how he got through his tough times and where some of his power came from: his God and church.
We never had that round of golf we talked about, but if there is a heaven I’d like to think we could still have a round, two motor biking golfers would be a sight in the club house car park.
Rest in peace Sam, you’ve lived a full life well. Nick x
