We enjoyed visiting with Vera several times over the years, on our visits to the UK. First in 1980, to Meacombe Farm, then in 2009 to her lovely home at Birchylea. Vera was a special lady, who always helped us to feel connected to our cousins in England. (She was my first cousin once removed) She was so good to write letters each year, even as her vision dimmed. Her beautiful gardens were memorable, as was the view down the back of her yard to the neighboring farm. The Canadian cousins will miss Vera. Condolences to her children and grandchildren.
