Christine CarolWREN'chris' Chris aged 72, sadly passed away, losing her brave battle with COVID-19, on 12th January 2021, at Llys Gwyn Residential Home, Maudlam, Bridgend, Wales. Christine was a loving daughter to Margaret (Peggy) (née Rowe/Peden) and John Wren (known as Pat). Sister to Maureen. All of whom are now deceased. Originally from North West London, having resided in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Christine moved to South Wales and lived near Porthcawl, before, finally settling in Bridgend. Beloved auntie, great-aunt and good friend to all that knew her. Chris was a kind, gentle, friendly soul, who loved nature, animals and her pets. Greatly missed by all her family and friends. Christine will be resting at David Wilde Chapel of Rest until the funeral on Monday 15th February 2021, service at Coychurch Crematorium at 3.45pm. Due to strict government guidelines, the service will be private and for family and friends by invitation, with family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers and in memory of Chris, can be made to RNLI Porthcawl, Porthcawl Lifeboat Station, The Esplanade, Porthcawl, CF36 3YR, where Chris was a volunteer for many years. Or, if you prefer, you can donate online in memory of Chris at: rnli.org/support-us/give-money/donate A Memorial service to commemorate Christine will be held later in the year, in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
