The obituary notice of Daisy Joyce WRIGHT (Nee Gorman)

Daisy was my wonderful mother in law, my husband Colin’s stepmother and loving Nannie to Nicola, Stuart,Neil, Wendy and great nan to our grandchildren Ellie, Daisy, Summer, Oliver, Tommy and India. Loved so much and missed terribly. ❤️ Xx

This is from the collection of £170 made for Daisy's chosen charity at her funeral. A further cheque for £25 has been sent by post. Thanks to those who generously contributed.

Daisy was my mother's younger sister and the two were always close so Daisy was a feature of my life while growing up. I recall us visiting Daisy and Gordon when they lived in Liskeard. Gordon had bought a tiny Ford car and took all 5 of us for a drive. The extra weight proved too much and we limped home after 2 punctures. Around the same time, Mum and I visited Daisy when she was expecting Sue. The sisters clearly had too much to chat about and we missed the train home to Looe, arriving on the platform to see the red tail light disappearing in the distance.
After they moved to Polperro, they were just 4 miles away and we saw them almost weekly. That was a period when Daisy was working in the hospital in Fowey; if you ever take the ferry from Polruan to Fowey, spare a thought for a a diligent nurse on a stormy winter night - it can't have been fun with a strong sou'wester blowing.
Farewell Daisy - you'll be much missed
