This time the glass is full

Missing you Dad. I've got your picture up in my own wee bar in Blackpool. Right below the Whisky.

Just a short time ago I was looking at some photos of my mother and father .in the photos was there best friends .my mums sister and of course wullie guy .I always looked forwards to visiting them and going to play snooker and a pint of the good stuff it was always a laugh when my father and wullie got together . Both of them are always in my mind in sadness but also a smile for the memorise I have of them walking up the streets singing songs and with there arms round each other

Just wanted to say HELLO....

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
and whispered "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
we watched you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Thinking of you this Father's Day

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, for which I’ll never part...God has you in his arms, I have you in my heart.
Thinking of you this Father's Day
I wish heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again.
