CharlesWYLIEIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric on Wednesday 10th June 2026, aged 86 years. Now reunited with his beloved wife, Shirley.
A lifelong Arsenal supporter, Eric will be greatly missed for his patience, kindness, and wonderful sense of humour.
A much-loved stepdad to Stephen, Richard, David and Heather. Cherished Grandad to Robert, Rachel, Michelle, Mathew, Nathan, Daniel, Ellie, Jack, Emily and Adam and a proud Great-Grandad. Eric also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Debra, David Andrew, Ann, Ron, Carol and Josephine.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone involved in Eric's care, in particular his wonderful carers from Hales Home Care.
A service to celebrate Eric's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Monday 20th July 2026 at 11:15am, followed by refreshments at The Spider's Web.
Family flowers only please, but if desired a donations in Eric's memory can be sent to the Dogs Trust.
