Patricia AnnYARDLEY'Patsy' Aged 86 years Former Professor of The Birmingham School of Speech and Drama. Passed peacefully away at City Hospital Birmingham on 21st February 2017 surrounded by her loyal friends. A service to celebrate Patsy's life will take place at Redditch Crematorium, Bordesley Lane, Redditch B97 6RR on Friday 17th March 2017 at 1.15p.m. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cramar Cat Rescue and Sanctuary, Hollytrees Animal Rescue Trust or British Red Cross may be sent to Thomas Brothers, 12a Red Lion Street, Alvechurch B48 7LF. Patsy we had the great honour to be some of your last students before you 'retired' in 2000. You were so giving to us, gently encouraging us to find the answers for ourselves. I have never met anyone with delivery and timing as perfect as yours—how many morning assemblies there must have been over the course of your stewardship where a third of the class would sit creasing in barely controlled laughter, one third buzzing with "What did she say?! Did she really just say that?!" and the rest oblivious, making it all the funnier as you'd explain how you just "had your man round to clean your back passage." Thank you for your mentorship, your insight and joyous humour. I want to be you when I grow up. ☺️✨
