Roy WilliamYATESIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roy William Yates, a Fenton resident of over 50 years, at the age of 76. Roy passed away peacefully on Monday 24th April at Lakeview Care Home, Trentham. Roy will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a true gentleman, an active member of the local community, and enjoyed nothing more than using his building, joinery and handyman skills to help his loved ones wherever possible. Roy is survived by wife Kath, daughters Helen, Steph & Their husbands Rob & Ross, and grandchildren Tom, Kathryn, Elliot & Dominic. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday 30th May at Bradwell Crematorium, Chatterley Close, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 8LE at 11:20am. All who knew Roy are welcome. Family flowers only please, however donations towards The Alzheimer's Society in Roy's memory will be gratefully received. A celebration of Roy's life will be held at his local, The Pool Dole, Fenpark Road, Fenton after the service. It was with great sadness that we learnt of Roy's passing. We were fortunate to enjoy his company on several occasions and always found him to be a kind and decent man.
