CarolineJONESIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Caroline Jones, a devoted wife, sister, aunt, friend, mentor, ambassador, and carer, who passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Caroline was a woman of extraordinary kindness, compassion, courage, and generosity. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to caring for others, whether through her work, her family, or the many friendships she nurtured over the years. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued, welcomed, and loved.

Family was the foundation of Caroline's life. She was a devoted daughter who adored her mother and father and remained immensely proud of them throughout her life. Much of Caroline's compassion, sense of duty, and respect for service came from her father, who proudly served in the Parachute Regiment as one of the elite Pathfinders. His example instilled in her a lifelong admiration for veterans and serving personnel, an interest that was strengthened further through her husband's long and distinguished military career. Caroline held veterans close to her heart and was always eager to support and champion their causes whenever she could.

Caroline's commitment to helping others extended far beyond her family and friendships. Throughout her life, she dedicated countless hours to supporting charities and organisations across the third sector, helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds for causes close to her heart. She was a passionate advocate for veterans, homeless people, women's refuges, children's organisations, and numerous charitable initiatives throughout Wales and beyond.

Having faced her own battle with breast cancer, Caroline became a source of hope and inspiration for countless women facing the same diagnosis. As a breast cancer buddy and mentor, she offered comfort, understanding, and reassurance to those struggling to come to terms with their illness. With remarkable courage and openness, she would often share her own experience, showing women that life could still be lived fully after a mastectomy and during treatment.

Caroline refused to allow cancer to define her. Instead, she used her experience to empower others, demonstrating through her own example that adversity need not limit ambition or achievement. One of her proudest accomplishments was being elected as a Member of the Welsh Parliament while continuing to undergo treatment-an extraordinary achievement that reflected her determination, resilience, and unwavering commitment to public service.

To many, Caroline was more than an advocate; she was a champion for women, encouraging them to find strength in themselves, to overcome obstacles, and to believe in what was possible. Her courage inspired others, and her legacy will continue to do so for generations to come.

At the heart of Caroline's life was the extraordinary bond she shared with her beloved sister, Alison, and brother-in-law, Danny. Their closeness knew no bounds. Caroline spoke of them with immense pride and affection, always celebrating their kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. The relationship between Caroline and Alison was far more than that of sisters; they were best friends whose lives remained intertwined through every joy and challenge.

Together with their mother, Caroline and Alison shared countless happy hours enjoying meals, conversations, and laughter. Their time together created treasured memories and reflected a closeness that many people never experience in a lifetime. The love they shared as a family was a source of great happiness and strength to Caroline throughout her life.

Born with a gift for music, Caroline was an accomplished singer who particularly loved opera. Family and friends will fondly remember her beautiful voice filling the home or accompanying car journeys with song. Though naturally modest about her talent, music remained one of her great passions throughout her life.

Caroline also possessed a deep love and compassion for animals. She could never bear to see an animal or bird suffer and would go out of her way to help any creature in need. Her kindness extended to all living things, reflecting the gentle and caring nature that defined her character.

Caroline was a loving and devoted wife whose strength, support, and unwavering love enriched the lives of those closest to her. Her husband cherished and protected her, often encouraging her to care for herself as much as she cared for everyone else. Yet Caroline's instinct was always to put others first, offering comfort, guidance, and practical help whenever it was needed.

Caroline's caring nature extended far beyond her own family. She opened her heart and home to many, including two young girls, Clare and Lisa, whom she cared for during difficult periods in their childhood. Caroline became far more than a carer to them; she became a mother figure. The special bond they formed endured throughout their lives and stands as a testament to the profound impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her.

Friendship was another cornerstone of Caroline's life. Her lifelong friendship with Sue, which began in their younger years, never faded with time. They remained close throughout their lives, often spending hours on the telephone sharing memories, laughter, family news, and stories of days gone by. Caroline was honoured to be godmother to Sue's daughters, Amy and Donna, a role she treasured deeply. She took great pride in watching them grow and remained a constant source of love, encouragement, and support throughout their lives. Amy and Donna always held a special place in Caroline's heart.

Those who knew Caroline will remember her warm smile, gentle nature, sense of humour, and selfless willingness to help others. She possessed a rare gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome, valued, and at ease.

While her passing leaves an immeasurable void in our lives, Caroline's love, kindness, courage, and example will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, from family members and lifelong friends to Amy and Donna, Clare and Lisa, and the many others who were blessed to experience her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Among the many gifts Caroline leaves behind is the enduring example of the love she shared with her sister Alison - a bond of friendship, loyalty, laughter, and affection that remained unbroken throughout her life.

Caroline's greatest gift was her ability to make others feel loved, valued, and capable of achieving more than they ever thought possible.

Caroline will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."
