Trotman Funeral Directors started in the winter of 1933 under the ownership of Mr. William John (Jack) Trotman and has become rooted in the village of Cranmore and the surrounding community for the past four generations.
We are proud to say that the business still enjoys the active involvement of family with Mr Trotman's grandson, John Reakes caring for the community just as he did. The newest member of staff is Lee Fagan D'Oris who has many years' experience working with the bereaved.
Oswald Clarke Funeral Directors started back in 1947 under the husband and wife partnership of Oswald and Ismay Clarke and has become established in the town of Bruton and the encompassing area. In 1993, due to Oswald and Ismay taking a less active role in the running of their business, Trotman Funeral Directors were invited to take over the day to day running of the company.
Under a change of ownership in 2014 we came under the Forsey and Son name, still retaining our professional and caring service within the local community.
