Business Overview
A professional and personal service awaits you at H. Biffen and Sons funeral directors in Bridgwater. Our mission is to provide families with a dignified and caring service at a fair value.
We are a family run business and are committed to establishing trust through compassionate attention to the individual needs of each family we serve. We want to care for your family in the same way we would want to be cared for if we were in our time of need.
H Biffen & Sons Ltd was started in 1920 by Harry Biffen when he launched a Taxi and Limousine business in Bridgwater. Following the death of Harry in 1972, Biffen’s gave up the taxi service side of the business. In 1944 when Ron retired, Bills son John joined and most recently in 2003 Johns daughter Sarah joined the firm. Sadly, Bill died in 2010. Now the two generations work side by side to provide the friendly family service that we have become renowned for.
In every car, we have the moto printed in the front ‘drive and arrive with pride’ which has stayed with us through our many years.
The company has always been in the heart of Bridgwater and over the years has grown to become one of the largest fleets in Bridgwater with a full British seven-seater Daimler, Princess, Rover and Austin limousines some of which have been lovingly restored over the years since Harry Biffen first founded the business in 1920.
We are a Bridgwater firm which has embraced the lives of hundreds of local families since it began serving the community in 1920 with the thought behind that every family we meet is a new friend. We pride ourselves on having our family look after your family.
