C. L. Birkett & Son soon moved from Stretford to 111, Higher Road, Urmston and then more recently, developed a new additional office back in Stretford, at 147 Barton Road.
In 2015, their 30th anniversary, Mr. Birkett decided it was time to take some well-deserved retirement and offered his business to Arthur Gresty Funeral Homes, a family run service established in the 1930s by Mr. Arthur Gresty in Sale Moor. This was a great opportunity for David Gresty (Mr. Arthur Gresty’s Grandson), his family and team to acquire a well-known and respected family concern to complement their existing funeral service.
Paul Birkett (Cedric’s Son) has remained with the company and proudly manages the Stretford and Urmston branches of the business, as well as arranging and conducting funerals for the parent company, Arthur Gresty Funeral Homes throughout Altrincham, Sale, Northenden, Wythenshawe, Stretford, Urmston, Flixton and surrounding areas.
