Duncan and Val Robinson were born and brought up in Settle, North Yorkshire, and have worked within their community their entire lives.
Although Duncan became a full-time Funeral Director in 2000, he had been involved in the business since 1975, alongside his father-in-law Gus Porter, who in turn served the community in and around Settle for 40 years. Carrying on the family tradition, Duncan started his own independent Funeral Directors in April 2008.
Duncan and Val’s son Stephen joined the business in 2015, followed by Dominic Stockdale in 2020 . The business is also supported by part-time staff Phillip Littlewood, John Cummins and Lawrence Martin.
We remain a family-run business, offering a caring, personal and dignified 24-hour service to bereaved families within Settle and the surrounding community.
