We are, first and foremost, a local family business. We arrange funerals as we would for our own family. At a stressful and emotionally draining time we provide a comfortable and totally informal atmosphere (with or without our resident cat), where you can give yourself time and space to consider your plans with our support on hand. We have our own chapel of rest and if we have anyone staying with us we ensure that we always have a light burning. We never leave anyone in the dark. We can assure you that you will receive personal attention. Many people that we deal with are as local as we are and we like to think that we are caring for them, their families and friends, to the very last.
We are not high tech. This is our first foray into the mysterious world of the web but we have done so because we have become aware that the opportunity to say a formal farewell to meaningful people can be missed due to lack of information. Our local newspaper the Express and Echo, long relied upon to print obituaries, is now only published twice weekly and therefore deadlines are tight or impossible.
