JohnEWINGTONWe sadly announce the death of Reverend John Ewington, who passed away peacefully on 19th October 2025.
He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A Thanksgiving Service will be held at the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Newport on Tuesday 4th November at 11:00am. Family flowers only please. There will be a retiring collection for the British Heart Foundation and Royal Devon Hospitals Charity (for the North Devon District Hospital) at the Service or c/o W S Gayton & Son, Pickett Meadow, Fremington, Barnstaple EX31 3UP.
The family would like to acknowledge the incredible care and support provided by the staff on Victoria Ward at North Devon Hospital, and thank them for their kindness to John and the whole family.
