Christine AnnOSGERBYIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Anne Osgerby, who passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, 18th March 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Christine was the devoted wife of the late Tony Osgerby until his passing in January 2017. She was a beloved mother to Glen and Craig, a cherished mother-in-law to Esra and Lisa, and a proud grandmother to Sebastian, Alice, Olivia, Leo, and Cooper. In the last five years of her life Christine found deep companionship, love, and laughter with her partner, Laurence, bringing warmth and joy to both of their lives.

Christine enjoyed a rich social life filled with adventure, laughter, and treasured friendships. She had a passion for travel, embracing both the sun and the snow, creating unforgettable memories with those she held dear. Throughout her battle with cancer, she was lovingly cared for by Laurence and her ever-present friend, Bridgitte, whose unwavering support brought her comfort and strength.

Christine spent part of her working life at Rugby Cement in South Ferriby before embracing the well-earned joys of retirement.
She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the love she shared with those around her.

A funeral service to celebrate Christine's life will be held on Wednesday, 9th April at 12:00 PM at St Mary's Church, followed by a committal at Scunthorpe Crematorium.

Family and friends are invited to gather afterward at The Sloop Inn to share memories and celebrate her life.
Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Macmillan Cancer Support, whose incredible care and compassion provided comfort to Christine in her final days.

Malc and I spent many happy times with Chris and Tony celebrating family events back in the day. So sorry to hear that Christine has now passed away. She was a ray of light and her smile lit up a room. Thinking of Glen and Craig and their families as well as her other friends and family. May she rest in peace
