Mac, from Whickham, died at the QE Hospital on 12th March after a very short illness.
At 99, he had a long life, well lived. He was a much loved husband to the late Sheila for over 60 years, father to Keith (wife Christine) and grandfather to their children Catherine, Graeme and Helen, and father to Stephen, grandfather to his three children and great grandfather to their five children, brother to the late Morrison, and uncle to his three sons.
The funeral was held at Saltwell Crematorium on Friday 21st March.
