GilbertJOHNSTONGILBERT JOHNSTON CBE Former CEO of JCB Passed away suddenly at Queen's Hospital, Burton on 13th June 2021 after a short illness, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Aileen, father of Scott and Derek, father-in-law of Juliet and grandad of Ross and Sasha. A loved brother-in-law, uncle and cousin. He will be remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral will be in the Carnarvon Chapel, Bretby Crematorium on 6th July at 3.00pm in accordance with Covid restrictions. Family flowers only please. Donations to 'The Salvation Army' would be gratefully received and can be sent c/o Murray's Funeral Directors 23 York Street, Burton upon Trent, DE14 2LX. Dearest Mrs. Johnston & family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband and father. What a lovely man he was! I was fortunate to be invited into your home a few years ago when I was back in Rolleston. Thank you for opening up your home and taking time to sit and chat about school days gone by and Rolleston passed, it was a wonderful trip down memory lane, a visit I will never forget. Sincere condolences to you all!
