RonBLACKER(Ron was awarded The Ambulance Service (Emergency Duties) Long Service and Good Conduct Medal) Pam would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for their messages of sympathy, cards, floral tributes and donations to Kidney Research, at her recent loss of a much loved husband, also to Doctor's and staff at Prince Charles and Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Hospitals for the care of Ron. Thank you to all who attended the funeral at Llwydcoed Crematorium. Ron must have touched so many lives as could be seen by the number of family friends, old and new, made over so many years. Grateful thanks to John Dyas who officiated at the service and for his words of comfort. John worked with Ron for many years with Glamorgan Ambulance Service, so he could speak of the comical things that happened even though the work was serious and sometimes very sad, also to Mr Morgan, Headmaster of Pengeulan Primary School, for his words of comfort and friendship to Ron. Ron was Chairperson of the Governor's for many years. He spoke how Ron loved the school and the respect he had had for the staff and children, and was so pleased when the children did well. Finally to his brother Roy who spoke on behalf of the family, of the events in Ron's life some of which were funny because if you thought of Ron you thought of laughter. Special thanks to Michelle, Mike, Shaun, Megan and staff Penrhiwceiber Institute for the beautiful buffet provided. The film of Ron and the music which was different but excellent. To Dale, Geraint and staff T Teify Davies Ltd for caring out the funeral arrangements with dignity and respect.
