Michael NormanLLOYD OBEMichael Norman Lloyd OBE (28 March 1943 - 7 December 2025) was a beloved father of two and a lifelong champion of music and the arts. Born in Walsall, he devoted over 60 years to shaping the cultural life of Stoke-on-Trent, believing that all music mattered and should be shared. His warmth, humour, and generosity left a lasting impact on musicians, colleagues, and the wider community. His contributions were recognised with an Honorary Doctorate from Staffordshire University, an OBE, and the Freedom of the City.

He is survived by his children Alex and Jake and their wives Sara and Anna, grandchildren Sophie, Suzanna, Rosie and Molly, and many other close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Stoke Minster on Wednesday, 14 January at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the British Heart Foundation or Cancer Research UK.

Such a hard working generous man that brought many happy times with his skill and knowledge in the music industry for our area.
Mike gave us so many happy moments that we shared and will never forget
