Bettina ElaineMCCARTHY(née Smith) (Betty) It is with deep sadness, but also immense gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Bettina (Betty) McCarthy, aged 93 years, who died peacefully at Regency House Care Home, Ely on Tuesday 13th May 2025.
Betty was the devoted wife of the late Bill, the much-loved mother of Billy and Steven and a treasured mother-in-law to Kerry and Alison. She was dearly loved by her granddaughters, Kate and Emma, and only recently welcomed into the world her great grandson, Joey, who brought her great joy.
A kind and gentle lady, Betty's ever-present smile and ready laughter will be missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered with great love and affection by family and friends alike.
A thanksgiving service to celebrate Betty's life will be held on Thursday 5th June at 1pm at Thornhill Crematorium, Briwnant Chapel, Cardiff.
