NancyWHITFIELDIt is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Whitfield, aged 89, in the early hours of Wednesday 8th April 2026.
She is survived by her sons, Neil and Paul Dixon.
Nancy lived a life that was full in every sense - a pioneering professional, an adventurous traveller, and a fiercely independent woman who faced everything life brought her with quiet dignity and strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday 13th May 2026 at 2.30pm at
Bretby Crematorium, Geary Lane, Bretby, Burton-on-Trent, DE15 0QE.
All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Macmillan Cancer Support, whose care and support meant so much. Donations can be made below or on the day at the funeral.
