KathleenALMONDMrs Kathleen Almond, of Oswaldtwistle, died suddenly in hospital after a recent fall, on Sunday, November 8, aged 83. She leaves daughters Linda and Elaine, sons-in-law Paul and Dale, grandchildren Rebecca, Nathan, Ryan, and Bradley, and niece Lorraine. Kathleen was 15 when she started work at Church Paint Works, then later at Oxo, Great Harwood, and then Vine Mill. Kathleen has always enjoyed dancing, especially ballroom and line dancing. She enjoyed holidays in Malta, and days out with grandchildren, and especially trips to St Annes with Rebecca. Due to current restrictions, a private service will be held for Kathleen, but if wished you may stand outside the crematorium following social distancing rules. The funeral will be held at Accrington Crematorium at 11.40am on Friday, November 20. No flowers by request please, but donations if desired are being received in memory of Kathleen payable to the Macmillan Nurses, c/o Linda and Elaine. Funeral director: Kirby & Hughes, Accrington.
