MaryGROGANMrs Mary Grogan, of Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home, Rawtenstall, formerly of Greensnook Lane, Bacup, died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 5, aged 90. A short service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Friday, November 13 at 11.10am, followed by interment in Bacup cemetery at 11.30am, conducted by Father Chris McGrane. Born in Foxford, County Mayo, Ireland, Mary came to live in Bacup in 1947. She was employed as a school cook at Thorn County Primary School, Bacup for many years. Mary enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, and doing word searches. Widow of the late Dominic who died 25 years ago, she leaves sons Michael and Martin, daughters Belinda and Bernadette, daughters-in-law Pauline and Pat, sons-in-law Tony and Mark, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and friends.
