PhilipRIDINGSMr Philip Anthony Ridings, of Grasmere Road, Haslingden, died on Monday, November 2, aged 75. He was an electrical engineer for Greenvale Homes until his retirement. Philip loved holidays, especially cruising and in Nefyn, North Wales. He also loved model railways - he filled an entire garage with a layout - and was an avid rugby union fan. In his younger years, he was an active backstage member of Rossendale Amateur Operatic Society, and RAYS, proud of his involvement in the charitable work of the Freemasons as a member of Grants Lodge. Husband of the late Eileen Ridings, he leaves daughter Sarah and son-in-law David, and grandchildren Ethan and Millie. The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 19 at Accrington Crematorium, led by Father David Stephenson. Family flowers only please, with donations if desired to Pendleside Hospice.
