There are different rules between countries in the UK regarding vaccine passports. In this blog, we’re going to clear up any confusion and set you straight on what the rules are for each country.
Yes, you will need to show your vaccine passport from 18th October to enter:
• Nightclubs
• Adult entertainment venues
• Unseated indoor events with more than 500 people
• Unseated outdoor events with more than 4000 people
• Any event with more than 10,000 people
You will not be able to attend any of these venues or events unless you have been double vaccinated and show proof. You can either download the NHS App (not the Covid-19 one) and show the QR code or you can show a paper copy instead.
Currently, you will not need a vaccine passport for restaurants. However, Nicola Sturgeon has not ruled it out.
In Wales to enter nightclubs and other large scale events listed above, you will either need to be fully vaccinated or show proof or a negative lateral flow test in the past 48 hours. These rules began on 11th October.
There hasn’t been an official announcement for vaccine passports for large venues and events as of yet. From 31st October nightclubs are allowed to open and you will not need to show proof if you’ve been double vaccinated or show a negative test. Although, it has been said this can change if cases rise rapidly.
