At funeral-notices.co.uk, we are proud to end February by celebrating a firm that perfectly balances deep-rooted Welsh tradition with modern excellence. Baglan Funeral Home has been a pillar of the Port Talbot community for over a quarter of a century, and this month, we are naming them our Top Partner in Wales.
This recognition comes from the team’s dedication to providing families with the very best digital experience. As part of their subscription, Baglan Funeral Home has led the way in using unlimited digital notices to their full advantage, ensuring every family they serve has a lasting, interactive space to share memories, photos, and tributes without limitations.

The old Post Office
While the Baglan premises feel modern and welcoming, the business's story began long before the turn of the millennium. The Jenkins family legacy dates back to the 1940s in Cymmer, where Gareth Jenkins’ grandfather, Evan, and father, Del, operated as both builders and funeral directors.
Gareth grew up within this vocation, joining the family firm at 16. In the late 1990s, Gareth and his wife Christine, both fluent Welsh speakers, envisioned a new kind of funeral home: a purpose-built facility designed specifically to provide comfort and privacy.
That vision became a reality on St. David’s Day in 2000, when they opened the doors to Baglan Funeral Home on the site of the old Post Office. Now, in 2026, they celebrate 26 years since that milestone, continuing to serve the community with the same integrity they started with.
Providing both direct and tailored funerals and funeral plans to meet all needs, Baglan Funeral Home has been designed to create a calming, welcoming environment where families can discuss arrangements in complete comfort and privacy. From its base in Baglan, the funeral home offers every facility under one roof, providing a truly local service to the community it serves.

Baglan Funeral Home
The team, led by Gareth, Christine, and Funeral Director Craig Perfect (who joined in 2005), has never stood still. While they remain members of SAIF and the British Institute of Funeral Directors, they have also embraced the digital shift in bereavement care.
By utilising our unlimited digital notices, Baglan Funeral Home ensures that:
* Distance is no barrier: Family and friends across the globe can view funeral details and leave tributes instantly.
*Charitable legacies grow: Their notices integrate seamless online donations, helping families raise vital funds for causes close to their hearts.
*Memories are preserved: Every notice acts as a permanent digital memorial, a place where the community can return year after year.
We are spotlighting Baglan Funeral Home this month for its exceptional commitment to families. They understand that a funeral notice is more than just an announcement; it is the first step in honouring a life. By fully utilising the digital tools available to them, they provide a comprehensive, modern service that complements their decades of traditional expertise.
Whether you are seeking a traditional Welsh service or a contemporary celebration of life, the team at Baglan Funeral Home can help.
Congratulations to Gareth, Christine, Craig, and the entire team on being our Top Partner for February 2026!
