Sometimes, words aren’t enough. Someone you love may have passed away, or it may be coming up to a milestone since they passed; perhaps a year ago or their first birthday without them. So, what can you do to make your notice stand out amongst thousands?
Well, that’s what today’s blog is about. Today I’m going to discuss adding a photograph of the deceased to the notice you’re placing, and how it can help make your message even more special.
On
funeral-notices.co.uk – along with our hundreds of local newspaper titles – we place thousands upon thousands of notices every single day. Most of these simply feature a message to the deceased, however, adding a photograph to the top of the notice is becoming increasingly popular.
For example, the Liverpool Echo is one of our most popular titles and features pages of death notices and memoriums every day. What some people might not know is that there is actually no additional costs to add a photograph to the top of your notice in that newspaper (which is the case in many of our papers, so it’s always worth checking!)
When you open the paper or go online, and look for your notice, your eyes are always drawn first to those who have chosen to place a treasured photograph of a loved one. Some people like to use a photo from when they were younger, some a more recent one. Those who have sadly lost a spouse often will choose to use a photograph of them together, perhaps on their wedding day. Again, these make the notices even more effective that they’d otherwise be.
There’s two different ways to add a photo to your notice, and it really depends on how you’re placing it.
If you’re placing your notice over the phone, the customer advisor will give you an email address to send the photograph to, which can then be placed at the top of the notice. If you’re doing the notice online, it’s even simpler, as when you choose the option for a notice with a photograph at the top you can simply upload your chosen one off the device you’re using.
Adding a photograph to your notice, is quick, easy and effective, and can really make it stand out from the crowd and be even more sentimental.
