Helen (Eileen)CONNORIn loving memory of Helen(Eileen) Connor nee Kelly of Rutherglen. Passed away bravely, beautifully, full of love in her 93rd year and in the loving arms of her daughter Dorothy on 19 April 2010.

Dearly beloved wife of the late John Patrick (Jack) Connor and precious mum of the late John Douglas and of Dorothy Ellen.

Mascot Rutherglen Ladies FC, World Champions 1923, Lady-in-Waiting to the Lanimar Queen 1927, Auxiliary Fire Service Rutherglen, Second World War and Home Town Tales -Stories of Rutherglen Life 2005.

The bravest, kindest, most caring and compassionate woman it would ever have been your privilege to know. A real Ruglonian who loved her family, her town and its people. A bonny fechter, a "darling bud of May", a real Rutherglen rose and a true flower of Scotland.

"Soul by soul and silently, Her shining bounds increase Her ways are ways of gentleness And all her paths are peace."

Safely held in angels' wings. Until we meet again, love always Dorothyxx

I was out early this morning mum to get the May Dew as you taught me to do -to be beautiful for another year!

Remember when you were in your bed in the living room and I went out into the garden and brought in a tulip that had the early morning dew inside and patted the petals onto your cheeks. A wee moment of joy that made you happy. I can still see the smile on your lovely face.

I made up a lovely basket of tulips and all the other Spring flowers in the garden for your final journey so that all the love Dad and I poured into the garden would go with you.
love always, Dorothyxxx miss you all always and forever
